Hazel was the British junior champion six times and is considered one of the best female climber worldwide.
Hazel Findlay has been rock climbing for 22 of her 29 years. She has travelled all over the world climbing all styles from small boulders to big walls. Hazel is better known for more adventurous trad climbing. She was the first British women to climb E9, first British women to free climb El Capitan in Yosemite and has put up first ascents all over the world. She is also one of the top female sport climbers in the UK; with her ascent of Fisheye she was the first British women to climb 8c.
Since graduating from Bristol University whilst studying Philosophy Hazel has developed a strong passion for teaching and psychology, and currently works on mental training approaches for climbers. In all her adventures and passions Hazel is most driven by personal development, learning and growth.
